A little Ruckus! can change everything

As the stewards of some of Boston’s most iconic landmarks, Revolutionary Spaces’ work continues the legacy of these historic buildings as sites of open dialogue and civic engagement. In fulfillment of that mission and in celebration of America’s 250th, they began an exciting new project—an immersive exhibition that brings the walls of the Old South Meeting House to life through dynamic sound, lighting, and state-of-the-art projected animation.

This project drew us in immediately—the story is a compelling and vivid introduction to the city’s revolutionary history and the lasting importance of civic action. We were thrilled to come on board to create a distinct brand identity and name—Ruckus!—for the experience, positioning it as the first and best on the Freedom Trail.

Ready, set, Ruckus!

Our work began with an accelerated branding sprint that included naming, audience analysis, narrative and tagline development, event teaser materials, press support, logo development, and a style guide to support consistent execution across all channels.

The (tea) party has only just begun.

This work led to an incredible opening and a summer season that far exceeded expected ticket sales. Now, to sustain momentum and attract visitors throughout America’s 250th year and beyond, Hairpin continues to build the Ruckus! brand and help spread the word—developing and executing a campaign strategy, crafting messaging, designing digital and print assets, and providing experience design support.
